C/R: Landguards beat police officer, civilians at Ojobi Police station
April 21, 2017

Daring Landguards on Wednesday stormed the Gomoa Ojobi Police Station in the Central Region and beat up a police officer and civilians who were at the facility.
The furious miscreants resorted to the criminal action after a farmer named Nana Oppong, who while on his way from the farm saw his son being assaulted by the languards and lodged a complaint at the police station.
But even before he could leave the premises, the languards had the effontery to accost him at the police station and assaulted all who were present, in the process some of the victims were stabbed.
A police officer who stood up to their unruly behaviour was not spared, as he had his fair share of the beatings. He subsequently lodged a compliant against the landguards at the same police station following which he was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Benjamin Amuzu, a Freelance Journalist who was at the Police Station told Kasapa News that it took the intervention of a police reinforcement team to restore calm in the area.
Six persons have since been arrested.
