An angry of the New patriotic Party in the Bawku west district of the upper East region has vandalised their party office for an alleged appointment of Madam Victoria Ayamba as the district chief executive of the area.
The youth in their protest vandalised many party equipment including chairs, tables and posters of the president and the Member of Parliament of the area.
The angry youth went further and Block the road leading to Bolga and Bawku with lorry tyres and set it ablazed and others were seeing on motor bikes chanting 2020 No Fuseini, 2020 No Fuseini. Hon. Frank Fuseini Adongo is the sitting MP for the Zebilla and deputy regional Minister for upper East region.
According to the youth a woman cannot rule us as District chief executive and even more so, the Woman, Madam Victoria Ayamba, was an NDC member and so it is unwise for the president to choose such a person as DCE in the area.
They alleged that, during the campaign in 2016 Madam Victoria Ayamba was in bed with the national democratic Congress NDC and even supported them with motor bikes for their campaign.
They said, is only Hon. Patrick Ayaaba the assembly member for Teshie electoral area and a Business man, is their choice, if only His excellency Nana addo Akufo want peace in the constituency and the district at large.
The angry youth said it was Hon. Patrick Ayaaba who was sponsoring the party in the district when the party was in opposition and even, have to buy many as motorbikes to party executives, supporters and polling station coordinators for the party to snatch power from the then incumbent Hon. Cletus Avoka and the NDC.
The position of the youth is his excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo addo to reverse his position or else more troubles will happen in the constituency.
The police in the district have taken over the town protecting lives and properties.
