Bugri Naabu, the maverick NPP chairman is accusing two ministers in the Akufo-Addo government of knowing about the death of the party’s Upper East regional chairman.
According Naabu, gender minister, Otiko Djaba was deeply involved in the killing of Mahama Adams . The two officers of the NPP have been engaged in heated exchanges since last Friday.
The Northern regional chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bugri Naabu has named Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Otiko Afisa Djaba and one other NPP member for their involvement in the plot that led to the murder of Adams Mahama, the party’s Upper East regional chairman.
“…Otiko has been a controversial woman in the party. As I’m telling you, this Adams issue, she was deeply involved, so because of that most of us who know her will call her a controversial woman.
“You’ll be surprised that some of these people who masterminded the killing of Adams have come to take positions in the government … like the Upper East Regional Minister. He was deeply involved in the masterminded killing of Adams,” Mr. Naabu told Radio XYZ Monday. The two top NPP officials have been at each others throat since Friday.
The fracas started when Daniel Bugri Naabu alleged interrupted Ms Otiko’s meeting with some women in the Northern Region. The move angered the gender minister, who described the regional chairman as a liar and taking bribes from people, promising unavailable jobs. Adams Mahama was an NPP Upper East regional chairman who died in 2015 after an extensive acid burns.
He died a day after he was bathed with acid by some unscrupulous men, one of whom is alleged to be Gregory Afoko, brother of the suspended chairman of NPP, Paul Afoko.
