INVESTIGATE ALLEGATIONS BY BUGRI NAABU AGAINST MADAM OTIKO DJABA
- GOVERNANCE WATCH GH.
We add our voice to calls by a section of Ghanaians for investigations to be instituted into allegations made by the Northern Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bugri Naabu connecting the Minister for Gender and Social Protection, Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba to the murder of the late Chairman Adams of the NPP.
We are of a firm believe that this issue is one that must be taken serious and visited with the urgency that it deserves.
As a result of the murder of the said Chairman Adams, a young man is languishing in the custody of the Ghana Police Service as the alleged murderer in the case. A prove of this allegation may just ensure justice is rightly served to the young man.
In addition, considering the portfolio of the accused person, Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba, it is important for the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to relieve her of her duty and cause investigations to be instituted into the allegations to establish the truth or otherwise and to show leadership and the commitment to rule of law.
We call on the Ghana Police Service to, as a matter of urgency, proceed to invite the accused to respond to the allegations levelled against her in order to lay the allegations of Mr. Bugri Naabu to rest.
