June 1, 2017

The tragedy that hit the Ghana Armed Forces when 32 years old Capt Mahama was murdered in the Denkyira District of the Central Region is opening a can of worms within the ranks of the Nation's military.Â
Some soldiers who spoke to www.thenewstatesman.com are livid at the seemingly neglect from their Commander in chief, President Akufo-Addo, they think that their leader careless about the military and is only interested in his personal image and what he is able to achieve as a one term President.Â
Â
An angry looking lance corporal with the Military police thinks that the President has surrounded himself with people who have no serious military orientation and how to assuage their morale in this trying times.
"Our Commander in Chief is flying around the world like an Arabian Shiekh when he is supposed to come visit us and the family of our dead officer" the angry soldier fumed.Â
They claimed that the President started this "USELESS" fight against Galamsey without any proper plan and sent our men to an NPP strong hold for the angry people to kill Captain like a chicken.Â
The tension within the barracks is so high that civilians even fear for their safety.
