The Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North Constituency, Hon. Andy Appiah-Kubi has been figured by a financier the New Pariotic Party in the constituency Mr. Edward Asadu the CEO of Asadu Royal Waste Management that he has kept an amount of GHC10,000 which he personally gave to the MP to pay the polling station agents who worked for the Party in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
He made this known to the party members at Hwidiem on Tuesday, 13th June 2017 when he visited them to initiate the construction of a modern party office complex he wants to put up at various designations within the constituency.
During his visit, he decided to interact with party faithfuls who worked for the NPP during the 2016 December elections which brought the party to power and it was during that moment that some aggrieved members who think they've been used and neglected complained to him bitterly that after working for the party they were not even given water to drink.
Mr Asadu was scandalized by these claims by the party members because according to him, after the party through the national headquarters gave money to be given to the party members who worked during the elections he personally donated GH ₵10,000 which is the old 100 million to the MP to be given to the party members who worked at various polling stations to ensure the NPP victory.
By the time of going to the press Mr. Edward Asadu true to his words has started the construction of the Party Office complex he promised at Hwidiem and hoping to complete it before the end of the year.
