There seems to be no end in sight with the battle between the former GIMPA rector and Vice President Dr Bawumia over the Veep's long convoy.
A little over a week ago at a function in the Central Region, the Prof accused the Vice President of bleeding the public purse with his 16 vehicle convoy and cautioned him to stop it, but the Veep's office in a sharp rebuttal quickly dismissed the allegations and stated that the Veep does not move with 16 cars but with 7 cars maximum.
But appearing on Joy FM's Supper Morning Show, Professor Adei hit back at Bawumia and accused him of peddling lies.
"I have no position on the performance of the NPP gov't. How they are leading will tell for itself. I was on the Cape Coast road and I saw the veep's convoy with a minimum of 14 cars. I counted 16 cars. I was with my brother. We followed the convoy for a while. I was 100 yards from them. I am getting to 70years and this is the first time I am seeing something like that." He said.
The Prof also had some word of caution to the staff of the Veep's office, he said "Bawumia's boys are inexperienced. Please I am 70yrs.I have never seen this before.16 cars occupying both sides."
