Members of the Privates University Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG) are in a stand off with NPP official and some unidentified persons who claim to be National Security Operatives after the said operatives stormed ongoing PUSAG elections at the Central University College, Prampram main campus.
According to the said operatives they had an order from the Flag Staff House to stop the elections because the elections were a threat to National Security. The students however are believed it is because the government sponsored candidates were unpopular and therefore were going to loose the election should it be held today.
The Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of NPP, Moses Abor, led some thugs to the congress grounds to create a situation of insecurity hence halting the process.
Meanwhile, a former SRC president of the University of Ghana Edem Agbana together with some other former PUSAG executives hours later to confront Moses Abor and his team and insisted that the elections will continue despite the supposed "orders from the Flag Staff House".
More updates soon.
