Tongues of Ghanaian have been wagging lately about the tons of praise from Mr Kofi Akpaloo towards President Akufo Addo. They have been wondering what could have led to the sudden love between the Ruling NPP government and this former Presidenial aspirant, who is the founder of the Independent People's Party (IPP). Finally the gene is out of the box and it seems that the mystery has been discovered.
Your authoritative news website www.thenewstateman.com has intercepted a couple of documents from a whistleblower on a $2 million dollar contract that was awarded to Kelvin Platinum Doveegg Ltd for the supply of Electricity Distribution Materials for the Electricity Company of Ghana, now Power Distribution Services (PDS).
Kelvin Platinum Doveegg Ltd, is a limited liability company formed by Mr. Percival Kofi Akpaloo and his wife Mrs. Delvine Akpaloo, and was incorporated on the 14th of July, 2017.
Exactly two months after the incorporation of the company, the contract was awarded to them on 14th of September, 2018. The award letter was signed by Jacqueline Ofori-Atta who happens to be the younger sister of the minister for finance Mr Ken Ofori-Atta.
An insider within the Jubilee House mentioned disclosed to our reporter that Mr Kofi Akpaloo and his wife got the contract as a forward payment towards making him attack the National Democratic Congress and its flag bearer President Mahama.
Although the sole sourced contract for Mr and Mrs Akpaloo to supply electricity distribution materials, what is even intriguing is that the line of business as listed in their incorporation document has nothing to do with the supply of electricity equipment.
The other issue our investigative reporters are following up on is whether they have executed the contract, or could it be that $2 million of taxpayers money had simply been doled out without anything to show?
This website will follow the intrigue surrounding this developments and inform our cherished readers.
