Gabby Otchere-Darko’s Silence Over PDS Scandal Too Loud

August 3, 2019

Gabby Asare-Otchere Darko, the nephew to Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, seems to have lost his tweeting fingers since the scandal of PDS broke out on Wednesday.

Gabby, a man of enormous connections who has family members and associates in the government of his uncle and rich with information about the present and future policies of the government, is seen lost in this unfolding scandalous deal involving PDS, a company whose shareholders have been traced to his doorsteps.

Gabby has the penchant of running pools and sampling opinions of Ghanaians on his unfailing twitter handle on initiatives about government. In his recent tweet, he asked Ghanaians if they would accept to pay a little more Tariffs to have their lights on. Little did Ghanaians know that the move was to syphon cash to stock the accounts of his friends and associates.

It would be recalled that, without any information in the public about the whereabouts of Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1, owner and CEO of defunct Menzgold, Mr Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko had information about his jumping bail following a previous arrest.

Many Ghanaians have since turned the twitter handle of Gabby as a source of information about the deep workings of government, a government he is neither an appointee of, but believed to wield a lot of power over.

Some are expressing disappointments over his failure to ascertain insider information about this PDS deal days before the scandal was broke to the public upon the visit of Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of United States of America House of Representative who led a Congressional Delegation to Ghana.

Moments after her address to Ghana’s House of Parliament, snippets of information begun hitting the public about the scandalous deal signed by the Akufo-Addo government with PDS. The deal was described by the Minister of Energy, Mr John Péré Amewu as scandalous following what he described as submissions of forged documents by PDS to Government on the concession handed them amidst caution by the Minority in Parliament.

Demands are being made on the whereabouts of Gabby Otchere-Darko as his silence since this scandal broke, appears to be unusual.
