The WHO is cautioning African leaders especially President Akufo-addo not to take undue advantage of the global Pandemic, Coronavirus to borrow unnecessarily.

He has also cast doubts about the cases being reported from Africa, he questioned the robustness of the testing process in Africa and wondered if the results being churned out are accurate.

His admonition comes on the heels of a recent remarks from Ghana's finance Minister that suggest that government of Ghana had put in an application for a facility of $ 100 million dollars from the IMF and the World Bank to enable Ghana tackle the pandemic.

The finance minister's statements has been met with bewilderment in most Ghanaian circles as the President in his address to the Nation on Sunday announced that the $100 million fund has been released by the finance minister.

Ghana has so far recorded 7 positive cases of the pandemic that has brought the whole world to a standstill.
